On Thursday, April 13th, 2023, the Black Dress Project and the Pratt Fashion Department will present the second event in an ongoing series entitled, “Black Dress Talks.” This series highlights the contributions made by Black men and women in fashion through the sharing of stories that illustrate the creativity, preservation, obstacles, and triumphs they’ve experienced. This conversation will be moderated by Professor Adrienne Jones, founder of Black Dress and joined by fashion models Coco Mitchell and Chetan Cutting, model and restauranteur Alvin Clayton, and fashion doyenne, Audrey Smaltz, for an in-depth conversation about fashion, beauty, and the lack of diversity on the runway.
Free and open to the public with registration
This event is made possible by the generous support of the Jane B. Nord Professor of Fashion Design Endowment, the Pratt Fashion Department, the Pratt Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and the Pratt Institute Academic Senate.
